Daniel Ortiz is a rising author in the world of suspense and thriller writing, known for crafting stories that keep readers on the edge of their seats.
 

Growing up in Brooklyn during the 90s, he was drawn to stories that made the ordinary feel a little more mysterious. An early fan of R.L. Stine’s Fear Street and Goosebumps, he developed a lasting appreciation for suspense, unexpected twists, and characters with something to hide. That early fascination with storytelling eventually became the foundation for his own work as an author.

 

When he's not busy conjuring up new ideas, he enjoys traveling, diving into the pages of a good book, and cherishing quality time with family and friends.

What sparked the idea for "The Inbox" series?

 

​I’ve always been fascinated by how strange and powerful the internet can be. It’s a captivating place — but it’s also unpredictable. I began to imagine a world where the bizarre goes far beyond spam messages and viral videos. What if something truly sinister is hiding just out of sight?

With The Inbox series, I wanted to blend horror and fantasy into an engaging, fast-paced narrative. Through my characters, I take readers on an exhilarating journey into the murky depths of the web — a place where reality can shift without warning and the line between the digital and the real world begins to blur.
